Some comments from our guests…
Beautiful spot – fantastic location for family gathering. Secure, private gardens and games room with lovely forest walks at the doorstep. A bit tricky to find but once we found it – it was really very special. Thanks Eoin!

The Stables is a stunning property, beautiful forest surrounds a well designed and functional home. The house is well planned, flows well with lots of spaces for large groups to come together or relax in. The house has lots of lovely details, like heated polished concrete flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows in the places you most want to look out from to enjoy your surrounds. The “Other Side” also retained some beautiful details from the original building that were a delight to inspect. I’ve got to say the master bedroom also with floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out on the forest was a true highlight. We woke up to see deer grazing through the trees. My now husband and I hosted our wedding here with the coming together of our two families and guests and Eoin was most welcoming and very helpful in the planning. We would love to return again someday. It was truly special and we enjoyed every moment of being there. Thank you Eoin! Hannah and Mark, Sydney. June 2023
….the feeling you get from the minute you come through the barrier and start to drive through the forest and then arrive at The Stables is magical.  The little touches like having the twinkling lights outside the front door give you the assurance that thought has gone into everything here.  A very special place and we created wonderful memories with our extended family.  We will be back. The Stables is a magical place that blends the old with the new! It is a perfect place for large families to gather and our family will be returning for sure. The central location allowed our family to travel the country and return to the same home each night. Beth, Baltimore USA October 2022
From the moment we saw The Stables we knew it was exactly what we wanted for our small wedding. The house is absolutely incredible, the photos do not do it justice. It is perfect for a family gathering, friends’ dinner or time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Tucked away in the forest, the drive into the grounds feels like you are entering your own world of peace, quiet and privacy. The house is modern with stunning nods to the old Stables which were converted. The beds are super comfy and there is literally everything you need in terms of cooking, entertaining, and just chilling out. Each room is stunning ensuring each guest feels special and like they have their own little corner of heaven. Ballymahon is a lovely little town just down the road with everything you need and lovely places to eat. Eoin was incredibly accommodating and helpful in the run-up to our big day, and went above and beyond to help us get organised and put us at ease. It’s hard to describe this place until you stay here. It’s a gem, book it, you won’t regret it. Mary and Alessia, August 2022
Amazing stables conversion in a beautiful and peaceful location – a really lovely space to spend time with family and friends. It’s in a great location for walks through the forest (& deer spotting!) and access to nearby watersports. Eoin was a super helpful host also. Sarah Kehoe, August 2022
“We cannot recommend The Stables enough! The house was gorgeous and the property was breathtaking. We held a small wedding there and Eoin was extremely accommodating and organized. All guests agreed it was the best trip ever!” Caitlin and Josh, U.S.A. April 2022
